If Maiya should be mistaken as some aspiring schoolmarm when approached on easier days, it would be an understandable error.  A little on the short side, with a kindly face magnified by a set of spectacles and golden hair, she has the clean features of a well bred child of the northern peerage--with her hard-won physical conditioning often concealed beneath either well forged mail or the trappings of a wandering scholar, as a servant to the Chamber Militant of Ellantha in her aspect as the Goddess of Knowledge.
