Clare is a paladin-in-training, but has a noble bearing about her. She is entirely devoted to the God that her priestess worships, this priestess is also her best friend that has received visions of this God. These two ran away from their homeland, a holy nation, after they were deemed heretical due to these visions of the Daylord. Clare lost her noble position, but she'll gladly risk it all for her friend's safety. Though she's only in it to protect her, she feels like some sort of power has been given to her and she feels devoted to the cause.

According to Flore (her priestess and best friend), she describes Clare as "a reckless idiot that keeps getting me in trouble. I have no idea why I keep counting on her. It's her fault that we're currently looking for ways to build a temple, since she spent all our gold in a scam."
