Known Background: What is known about Rory Winters, isn't very much. Although a natural born US, citizen Rory spent a few years of her childhood in South Korea. It was her time in South Korea that sparked Rory's interest in Tae Kwan Do Karate and it is where she learned to speak Korean. Even after her family moved back to the States, she kept up her training in Tae Kwan Do and practiced her Korean language until she was fluent in it as well as English.

The rest of Rory's formative years were uneventful and if not "normal" then as close as you could get to it.

As Rory grew up she continued to travel back and forth between the States and South Korea, where here Sensei was. She continued to study Tae Kwan Do and all her Sensei would teach her not just the martial arts, but other skills and disciplines as well. Finally, when she turned 18, Rory moved to South Korea to be there full time. This wasn't a big surprise to her parents, as they saw the love that Rory had for the Korean culture as she grew up over the years.

Although Rory preferred South Korea, she did her mandatory time in military service. From the first hour in basic training, Rory could tell military life wasn't for her. The rigidness and adherence to rules and regulations grated on Rory all throughout the time she had to serve in the military. Though she was taught some useful skills, Rory was grateful when the day came that she could leave service in good standing. She might not have liked service but she'd made a commitment and wasn't going to go back on that commitment.

Rory wasn't doing anything to special with her life, fighting in tournaments and doing odd jobs in between them. She'd probably still be doing that type of thing if the Agency hadn't found her. She was a bit surprised they were interested in boring old her, but they were and Rory was ready to serve her adopted country once again. This time with less of the military bureaucratic crap she'd left it for. Hopefully working for this Agency, U.N.I.T. it goes by, will have less red tape and saluting.

Known Family Background: Rory's family means a lot to her, her father has been a dentist for over half his life now. Rory's mom on the other hand was a stay at home mom, she took care of the day to day things while raising Rory. There were no brothers or sisters, just Rory and her parents. Rory and her cousin Rachel grew up together, when Rory was living in the States anyway, they were as close as sisters.
