Alberic is an engineer, scientist and enthusiastic student of the numenera - and judging from state of his body, it is a study that has exacted quite a price. His left arm is badly withered, the hand covered with a thick leather mitt, as if he didn't need to separate the fingers. His right hand is covered in burns and scars where tools or misplaced solder have dug into it. He walks with a pronounced limp on the left side, offset by a six-foot long steel clockhand he has repurposed as a crutch... and when needed, a weapon. His left eye seems to be a lump of blue crystal. Inserted with the most haphazard surgery, if the dark scarring around it is anything to go by. For all that, he shows no lack of binocular vision, and can see perfectly well on his left side.

Alberic's clothes are battered and travel-stained, except for a conspicuously new blue cloak, which he uses to cover up his disfigured left side as best he can. He wears a broad brimmed hat, which he keeps pulled low on the left to cover his disfigured eye. Despite his appearance, he is cheerful and nonchalant, often unnervingly so: social graces are not his forte. His prized possessions are his tools - worn in a utility belt - and a long slim pipe, from which he often inhales coloured smoke, which he keeps clenched between his teeth when possible.
