Background:
{Mhari is the Seventh son, of the Seventh Son of his father, a rich merchant in Ghan.  His father owns three merchant ships in the City of BridgesMhari, being so far down the chain of inheritors to his father's not small amount of wealth has no ambitions to being wealthy himself and his unwillingness to kill or compete with his brothers for the family wealth has earned him his fathers' scorn!  His brother's hate him for his natural charm and the fact that Mhari is the sole inheritor of the 'Divine Gift' of the lightning their family possesses as quirk of natural hereditary.

Mhari met Ymir Yvain at one of the many extravagant galas his and many other merchant families regularly throw to show off their ostentatious wealth... and instantly fell for her.  Ymir told him she was planning a expedition for wealth and adventure, she offered to allow him to go with her!
He was EASY to convince for he had always wanted a life of adventure.. and she inked him as her possession.

Mhari, called 'Stormbolt' by Ymir, had no idea he was a slave... thinking Ymir truly wanted to help him find his destiny. The even darker and sadder truth was.. his own father SOLD him to Ymir for... investment and trade considerations on her successful venture.  His father had indeed invested some significant bit of funding in Yvian's endeavor.  Being rid of a embarrassing 'Seventh' son he saw as a nice bonus.

Mhari personality-wise is a heroic heart but a weakness for female intimacy.  Mhari does have something of a temper... it seems to be a function of his Bio-neural electrokinetic - lightning abilities... the madder he gets the more erratic and Powerful his lightning becomes!  But mostly he is a gentle soul, a lover and a warrior.. but not overly prideful or greedy, a lecherous streak that gets him into trouble but not out of maliciousness.
Sadly .. even with his flaws.. Mhari has more honor than his family.

Mhari dresses in fine clothing his life of wealth and privilege allowed him .. though now he wears very nice but functional traveling clothing favoring shades of blue and white with silver trimming.  He has taken a fancy to wearing cloaks.  He is never without his Azure Steel sapphire gem-pommeled rapier, named "STORMHEART" in its ornate scabbard hanging from his baldric at his hip. His crossbow is usual slung at his back its bolt case strapped to his left thigh.}

Artifacts:
"Mass-Blaster Slugspitter"

Contact 'Companion' - 'Lady Blacksteel' Ymir Yvain's airship was caught in a really violent
storm that swept in suddenly.  In the midst of the storm the airship was attacked by "flock" of aerial
creatures. They resemble Xi-Drakes... but are blue in color.. they were feeding off the lightning in the
storm as well at attacking the crew.  Mhari with his ability to 'ride the lightning' managed to befriend
one of the "Zap-Drakes", as Ymir named them, and got the flock to leave the airships alone.  The one he
bonded with has followed him around ever since, named Z'Dakk.

On the surface it looks something like a Xi-Drake but its a sky blue in color and it wings are shaped in
a quadradic arrangement ~ it has two main wings and two smaller demi-wings that all work in concert in
flight.  'Zap-drakes' or Z-Drakes are not as sturdy at Xi-Drakes slightly smaller on average.  They are
telepathic..sort of..just like a Xi -Drake.. but they can also absorb and store a powerful electric
charge, powerful enough to shock prey on bites and claw attacks or release ALL of their charge in an arc
of electricity out to short range.

Ymir postulated that 'Z-Drakes' may be someone's experiment or that they are an artificially mutated
strain of the Xi-Drake.  Mhari has never seen a true Xi-Drake so he has no opinion.

"Z'DAKK" {Zap}Z-Drake

{Z-Drakes look like this but are slightly smaller, a uniform Azure blue, and with four wings 'two primary and two smaller secondary near their posterior sides'}

Mhari and the Slave master...

Mhari leaned against the pillar watching the sunset over the docks below from the colonnaded parapet of his father's Estate.  The gala was in full swing but it held little interest to him, he was not even really required to be here considering his six older brothers were of far more importance than him.  Well at least the 'Eldest' four to be sure for there was actually some hope of them inheriting some sizeble fraction of his father's wealth... and as such that made them the primary targets for the gala of sycophants and groom hunters for the many available young merchant daughters seeking husbands... and their families a portion of his father's vast wealth!  All but for the fact the 'Eldest' brothers were just like father and had about as much charm as a sea-monster none of them could even stand each other... not even father.  All they understood was ambition and wealth and anything that got in the way of the bottom line... their personal wealth.

It was the deadly handsome Mhari who would not inherit anything of note that held the attention of the young heiresses for he was courteous, honorable, and not burdened with the over-developed ego all the 'Eldest' clearly inherited from father.  Mhari saw people where his brothers only saw tools or obstacles at best.  The families present for the gala were here like every other family at these events - to show off their ostentatious wealth and to horse-trade their children in a 'zero-sum' game of wealth and power ~ winner take all, each one only interested in their own greedy schemes.  Mhari found the whole thing boring.

Mhari had learned quick enough as a child that he would not likely inherit anything not given to him by the eldest brothers.  He learned to get what he wanted with his natural charm and charisma but in truth, though his brothers schemed and plotted for wealth riches and influence with King Laird of Ghan and his courtly minsters and various sycophants of sycophants~ none of that ever really interested Mhari.  A life where the only thing that mattered was how much wealth one had managed to swindle out of everyone else was not a life Mhari wanted.  The world was full of unknowns mysteries and wonders the likes that only the Order of Truth even hinted at, and he dearly desired to see them! To have in his opinion~ 'a life of meaning and purpose'!

He had found little acceptance by his father and his mother died while he was still very young.  As for his brothers, he was certain they had each one~ at one time or another made an attempt on his life by hiring a 'convenient' brigand/assassin or arrange an unfortunate 'accident' to try to kill him.  He learned real quick to become a skilled glaive in the martial schools.  It was no hard stretch of logic that were there fewer brothers there would be more for all remaining brothers to inherit!  That had 'suitably' encouraged Mhari to keep his glaive skills sharp indeed, that alone with his natural bio-neural electrokinetic abilities made him a formidable foe to face in battle, something his brother's learned not to do personally if it could be avoided.  But it was Another reason for them to hate him!  The 'divine' blessing of the lightning had been a hereditary trait of his family for as long as could be remembered, but it was a fickle trait, manifesting in only a seemingly~ random few.  His father had the 'divine' gift; in fact it was the reason he had inherited grandfather's wealth over his four other brothers... though indeed he had been the youngest as well!  And in Mhari's case, to the last of his brothers HE was the Only one of his father's offspring to carry the 'divine' gift, which made them all hate him Even more!  But unlike his father, Mhari did not use his gift to bully or intimidate to get his way, and it was a source of great disappointment in his father.  The gift had been known the skip a generation... and father had more hope in a future grandson might bear the gift, hence these overblown gala's to present his sons as available.  But they were all like him... domineering, ambitious, and in many ways ruthless schemers... each one far too concerned about their monetary wealth compared to his brothers than about making themselves a presentable or even attentive prospective husbands!  They spent most of their time bickering between each other for the lion's share of their inheritance was gained by the son who proved the most financially successful with the portions of the family business he had been placed in control of; another zero-sum game of ambition, betrayal, and underhanded ruthlessness.  Mhari wanted none of it, which confused them and angered his father!  Add to the fact it was usually Mhari who was charming the young ladies supposed to be courted by his brothers and he was a hated all the more!

Mhari admittedly had a weakness for a pair of pretty eyes and a gentle voice... but he was under no illusions, the solace he sought in the arms of his many paramours was simply him rebelling against his father and rubbing it in the faces of his brothers for their lack of Any familial closeness they showed to him. And, just perhaps, also to remember the softness of his mother's gentle eyes and arms the love she showered upon all around her; a love that Mhari had lacked many for years in his life.  He half expected his father wanted him to kill his brothers to take his birthright over their bodies... like HE had done, of course in ways that no criminal charges could ever be placed against him; but it was an open secret that was how his father acquired his position as family head.  But Mhari refused to do that! His brother's hated him, but it was only a hate THEY felt. He pitied them... their lives were locked into only what father told them they should value, each was a prisoner to greed!  He tried daily to get them to see the fallacy of the course of their lives and perhaps he had some small success with his two brothers Evlar and Thalin; five and six respectively.

For all their faults, Mhari loved his family; they were his blood.. sons of his mother who in life was an angel of virtue.  Something died in father the day she passed and he was never the same after she was gone.  Father never spoke of her anymore and as the years passed... his heart Hardened; he was not the same man anymore.

Mhari stared out at the departing merchant ships, how he longed to go with them to find a life of purpose and love that was no longer something he could earn here in Ghan.  Then he turned... and saw her...

She was a vision of beauty!  Her darkened metallic skin decorated with intricate runes, gleaming in the party lamps of the party pavilion.  She wore a simple silk halter top and loose billowy trousers.  The intricate runes in her skin seems to move with each graceful step she took... she was an exotic frozen beauty that was impenetrable as the emotions behind her violet eyes.  The party goers spoke to her in greeting as she passed them and replies in short simple acknowledgements.

Mhari was entranced.  He asked one of the many servants who she was and learned she was Lady Ymir Yvain - Captain Blacksteel {A Mechanical/Mystical Nano, Who Fuses Flesh and Steel} .  He watched her as she moved about the gala speaking to one merchant then another trade piece or another never long but always Very business-like.  She seemed to be looking for something... or someone.  Then their eyes met and she turned to regard him, her expression one of brief satisfaction.

'Was she looking for me?', he wondered.

But not one to pass up an opportunity he walked toward her.  Mhari was dressed for the courtly affair wearing a long tailed coat of sky blue with white and silver filigreed cuffs at his wrists and white trousers with gold piping, his long blue hair tied in a braid over his shoulder and trailing down to his mid-thigh, and his usual baldric with his blue-steel rapier and court blade in its ornate scabbard across his chest and hanging at his hip it's sapphire pommel in the hilt of the weapon flickering in the light as he walked toward her.

Offering his hand, "Milady 'Captain' Yvain, you have a rare and precious beauty, may I be honored with a single dance, perchance?"

Her expression shifted as the depths of the violet eyes and she smirked, "Yes, perchance...'

Her cool steely grip was stronger than he expected but he was too refined to show any discomfort as he bowed to her and lead her to the ballroom floor. Her cold gaze never changed, but her smirk deepened as she curtsied in response. The minstrels took up a new song on que and the lights dims save a circle of light around them as other dancing couples moved to give them space.

Mhari took on a sour look at the attention, and whispered to Ymir, "...forgive our servants their flare for the dramatic. I am a Very accomplished dancer and my father and brothers do not."

Ymir only replied, "Accomplished? Prove it..!", and she proceeded to go into a complex series of acrobatic and graceful moves that shocked and astonished all present... Mhari smiled and kept in step with her inspired to the challenge.  His constant training as a glaive in Balance and grace with his rapier served him well as the pirouetted and spun breaking apart to spin back together as the music grew faster and with greater precision.  In response Ymir's steps and motions became more complex.

Mhari was enchanted... and matching her in grace he met her catching her when she fell with speed into his arms her metallic form heavy but he'd anticipated that and flung her weight with effort and glee as such a fiery dance partner.  His emotions rose and his touch became electric subtly stimulating the pleasure centers of her nervous system... her cold eyes brightened feeling the sensation of his touch the warmth of his embrace the power in his arms... and her smirk turned to an actual smile of something ~ perhaps desire?

As they continued their acrobatic display she spoke to him, "You are not content here are Mhari?"

The question caught him off guard and he almost missed a step to take her hand as she spun into his embrace... somewhat taken aback he replied, "Y-you know who I am? {chuckle} O-Of course you do, you must have been given an invitation by my father Captain. No, I'm not content here all the lies and deceit ~ they bore me!"

Her eyes glittered and Ymir stated, "You wish your life to have purpose and meaning?  To accomplish something of value."

She forcefully pulled him close and turned her cheek to which is proper response was to accept the embrace turning his cheek to hers as the sensuously gracefully stepped slowly together in the same direction before breaking apart spinning opposite directions only to come back together in one reversed graceful acrobatic step...

Mhari matched her grace and power, and replied softly, "Yes, I'm the Seventh Son of the Seventh Son... I'll inherit nothing unless I'm willing to kill my brothers! I want no part of that... I want to see the world to plumb its secrets!"

Ymir then stepped into his embrace wrapping her arms around his neck sensuously her face only inches from his, "What if I could give you that life of adventure... and purpose?  I'm starting another expedition, I could use your skills and zeal for my expedition!"

Mhari was shocked and excited, this beautiful woman was offering him escape, "Y-You would take me with you.. and let me go on the expedition?!?"

Ymir nodded, "You would belong to me, one of my personal servants to seek the mysteries of the unknown. There is a price, but there is also reward... if you have the will?"

Mhari shook his head, "There is nothing for me here! Whatever the price... I'll pay!  To have a life of exploration and seeking of knowledge is a dream come true! You'll not regret it!!"

Ymir pirouetted out of his embrace and was caught around the waist by his arm spinning her back to him, she warned, "There will be no turning back, once you set your life on this course, your destiny will belong to me!"

He smiled at her again her face only inches away, "But it will be a destiny of my choosing, and I choose you!"

Unable to contain himself he pulled her into a kiss... the taste of her lips not soft but metallic an electric like the terminal of a powered cell upon the tongue... his own bio-neural electrokintic abilities enhancing the moment for the both of them as sensation both powerful and electric flowed through their bodies in response!

When Mhari released her Ymir's expression was one of annoyed affront, but the gleam in her eye told the truth... she had enjoyed the moment.  Though the famous Blacksteel Captain was renown for her professionalism for one brief moment... Mhari has slipped past those hard-won defenses and touched the woman beneath the metal.

She turned to walk away the dance finished to the applaud of the crowd for the show of skill and grace.  Saying over her bare shoulder, "We leave at dawn, Dock 27F, we leave for Qi, I'll see you then.  Be ready to travel your life here in Ghan is done!"

Mhari rubbed his chin he knew he had indeed touched the woman under the resilient black steel, he was certain his life was about to become VERY interesting and the change thrilled him!

Mhari watched her go never seeing his father watching him his gaze a cruel pleased leer of satisfaction...

...

Mhari showed up early at the dock ready to travel with his weapons and the few things that were his.  Ymir was waiting her expression pleasant, but her eyes cold.  She told him that as one of her personal servants~ they all bore a mark of her Nano power to keep guard over them and strengthen them for her service... and he accepted without question the emblem she inked upon his off-hand forearm... a runic lightning bolt that as she completed it he felt her metallic strength fill him with added might of his own!

She spoke to him, "You are now mine Mhari~ 'Stormbolt'!"

Mhari 'Stormbolt' never looked back as the ship pulled out of the port of the City of Bridges.  His future was before him with Ymir Yvain.

...

At first travelling as slave to Lady Ymir Yvain - Captain Blacksteel was a dream come true, adventures in far-away places, danger in raiding claves and ruins for tech and riches.  But as Mhari traveled with Ymir it was obvious she had dark goals in mind.  A path she pursued with an almost compulsive fanatical fervor.  Ymir had vision, and drive, things that inspired Mhari!  So he supported her even when his sense of Honor called to question her means to her ends.  He did what he could to 'temper' her ruthlessness with creative solutions to her goals.  She came to rely upon Mhari for his fighting prowess and his Heroic drive to succeed, saving her crew and even Ymir herself in several tight conflicts as his Neuro-electrokinesis powers grew in scope and power!  His loyalty was unquestioned in all her efforts.  Many of her Tattoo-bound slaves tried to escape many succeeding and abandoning her, but not Mhari!  He became her most prized possession.

However, Ymir's quest for power drew the attention of the Aeon Priesthood.  Specifically one the one Bar'Sseris {prounced: Bar-Se-Ser-ISS}, A 'Visitant-Oeromian' Nano, Who wields Power with Precision.  He stalked Ymir's trail of ambition and observed her and her crew for many weeks before approaching Mhari.  Bar'Sseris, research specialty was Dimensional engineering of Infinity room structures and Dimensional Power Production.  He showed Mhari proof of the deeds of Ymir pointing to a goal that was nearing completion... deeds Mhari has assisted that would spell Doom for the world if she was allowed to continue her goals!

Bar'Sseris convinced Mhari to abandon her service and help stop her mad goals. Mhari tried to show Ymir what she was doing was mad... that power at ANY COST was just Far TOO costly.  She would not relent.

Mhari agreed with the Aeon Priest and helped him stop Ymir, and Ymir was lost... into realms unknown.  Not directly slain but possibly so.

To Mhari... meeting the Aeon priest - Bar'Sseris, was the whole purpose of his agreeing to be Ymir's slave.  Not to serve her forever... but to get him the understanding and ultimately to meet the Aeon priest in seeking his destiny.  Helping the Aeon Priesthood is also not necessarily the end of his seeking.  Someday he may find further development that leads him to new unknowns.  Life is Change and he embraced all it send his way.

Right now, For now ~ achieving the status of Aeon Priest seems a worthy learning experience.
