Race against Time

Tempus has not spoken for 23 years.  She has been sought, year after year, for help with one tragedy or danger after another and has refused to comment.

She used to be an ally of superhero’s once upon a time.  She easily lent aid to them as they battled super-villains, villains, gangs, organized crime, regimes, and politicians.

During those two decades, the tide has shifted.  Villains win more battles than they lose.  They consider each other as more dangerous to their schemes than actual Heroes in many cases.  Heroes a spread too thinly, and because of that, public opinion has turned against them since they are no longer keeping the population safe.

A fledgling Hero named Entropy has come down from her land in Colorado.  He went to beg for her help and was barraged by citizens and media once he came down.  Despite this, he has said nothing to anyone and gone into apparent seclusion.

News cycles, being what they are, lost interest in him within two weeks.  Another blip on the news radar that didn’t pan out to be entertaining.

Which is why, when you are going about your day, you are surprised to run into Entropy.  He is waiting for you.  Perhaps on a park bench.  Perhaps at as you hand a criminal over to the police.  Perhaps just as you are buying groceries (if you have no secret identity).  You are in Hero garb, and he just happens to catch your eye.

His presence makes you pause.  He raises a finger to his lips for silence as he stands and walks toward you.

The card he hands you is simple.  White, with black print on thin bond paper.  It says, only, '9667 E Waguamen street.  Friday at 7:30pm.  Please.  I beg you.'

This game will have combat, some investigation, some intrigue, and if it runs long enough, construction of a team base.
