A somewhat shy and sheltered girl as Amazons go, Orithia rarely performed well in her physical and martial training, doing only the bare minimum to get by. Her strengths were in the sciences, and an insatiable curiosity not only about the machinery and artifacts from beyond Lorca, but the peoples who built them. She is a tinkerer and a dreamer, with an uncanny knack for not only fixing things, but putting them together in unexpected ways to solve practical problems. She tends to get caught up in her ideas, shedding her characteristic reservedness in pursuit of knowledge and understanding. While she knows she has found her calling, she secretly wishes she could be more like the brave warrior women that she deeply admires.

She was raised by a prominent Amazon couple: Penelope (a healer), and Valascra (a warrior). Their standing in the community gave Orithia certain privileges and the freedom to follow her intellectual passions. While her parents were proud of her achievements, they just didn't understand why she failed to apply herself in other areas of her training. They never directly expressed shame about that to her, but she could sense it. She hopes that by taking up the duty laid upon her she will someday be able to make them proud.


As for appearance, Orithia is short, and while in good shape by modern standards, to the other Amazons she may appear a bit soft. Her style is more utilitarian, except for her long naturally curly hair. When she is working on a project, she can often be seen wearing a ridiculous pair of aviator goggles (for safety) that she once found washed up on shore, and a sleeveless tight fitting top that won't catch in the machinery she works on.
