WELCOME TO THE FIFTY-SEVENTH CENTURY

By the ancient calender of Terra, it is the year 5626, and by that of the Third Imperium, it is 1105.

For almost three decades, the Spinward Marches sector, on the frontier of Imperial space, has known relative peace, at least on the surface.

Below the surface, though, tensions continue to brew.  Vargr corsairs raid along the Coreward edge of the sector.  The government of the Sword Worlds continues to posture and make thinly-veiled threats against neighbouring systems.  And the Zhodani Consulate is an ever-present danger.

Rumours of impending war are everywhere...

Enter Itinerant Raven (usually just "Raven" to her crew), a Type A Beowulf class free trader, plying her trade across the Marches, both inside the Imperium, and beyond the border, in search of the next lucrative deal which will allow her, and her crew, to survive at least a little longer, as storm clouds gather across the sector.

Turbulent times lead to uncertainty for a trader - they can bring fortune or failure.

All the crew of the Raven can do is take each day as it comes, do their jobs, and hope that this isn't the day that will kill them.

Traveller - Campaign R1 - Flight of the Raven uses the classic Traveller rules (the first edition Little Black Books), in conjunction with some house rules, but knowledge of the rules is not necessary.  Knowledge of the background is also not a requirement, since background information will be presented within the game, in the form of Library Data and TNS News Bulletins.

All characters are pregenerated, with player input on the final character.
