Bio: Lauren "Laurie" Dean, born and raised in Arkham by her single mother. Always a trouble maker as a child, she only seemed to cause problems for her mother, and was unceremoniously left with her aunt at eight. Since then she has had no contact with her mother. She calmed down some, but it was the beginning to her abandonment issues.

School wasn't as easy for her either however. She barely passed classes, and received detention on a weekly basis for 'scribbling nonsense'. The nonsense she eventually turned in to a career. And even after turning 18, dating longtime friend Erika. Due to circumstances, the pair would split after 2 years.

Physicality:
Laurie is most noticable by her unusually shaved head, and a penchant in to wearing more masculine clothing modified in to more feminine fits. She is slender, and arguably underfed from the looks of her. It only however means that the muscle mass she does have is that much more distinct as she is only just beginning to put weight back on.


Current Works:

• The Lobby - Laurie's first book. A mystery story based upon one of Arkham's hotels. It tells the story of a young man losing his memory each time he comes and goes from the hotel.
  
• I Am What I Want - A mystery-romance, telling the tale of an unnamed protagonist with no choices being pushed in to romances with an innumerable number of people. Critics did not like how Laurie had stressed 'not every protagonist has to be a man, nor does he need to date women with tight curls and fancy clothes'. Readers would look back after the interview with many questions as to the genders of the characters. This was Laurie's most expensive to make book, and is only beaten out so slightly by The Masquerade released 6 months later.
  
• Masquerade - Laurie's first bestseller. A romantic novella about a catering girl falling for an upper class woman.
  - Mysteriously, the first editions contain a misprint in the first chapter, mistakenly naming the upperclass woman Eri. The public has yet to get to the bottom of this, viewing it as simply an error missed between drafts.
  
• Be My Doll - A thriller about a female detective infiltrating the mob undercover, but finding herself pulled closer both to the work, and to a certain daughter.
  
• Be My Moll - A direct sequel, and Laurie's latest release. It follows up from the former, with the detective having completely stepped away from that line of work, taking over for the mob she had infiltrated as their new boss. The book is the first in which Laurie played with the idea of a less than favourable relationship between it's two female leads.
  
• She has also released a number of works of a political nature, pushing for people to put aside prejudices towards feminism and gay culture. All under pseudonym Hunter Tonish.
