Roger Blackwood is the 4th son in the Blackwood Family. His older brothers are Bennifer (the current Lord of House Blackwood), Robert, and Roland. He has a sister Melantha Blackwood Stark who is the wife of William Stark, the current Lord of Winterfell.

Roger is a tourney knight and has participated in many tournaments throughout the South. His first tournament, as a young 18 year old, was the Tournament at Ashford Meadows in 209. That was the tournament where Prince Baelor Targaryen—the Prince of Dragonstone, son and heir of King Daeron II Targaryen, and Hand of the King was killed. Because of that, Ashford is known as one of the most famous and historically significant tourneys of this time. Roger is a formidable opponent in lists!

House Blackwood of Raventree Hall is an old house from Raventree Hall in the riverlands, one of the main families sworn to House Tully of Riverrun. They once ruled the riverlands as kings during the Age of Heroes.
