Its clear Two Crows is only part Native. He is too tall, and his eyes are unnaturally blue for his people. Despite that, he possess the dark hair and skin of the native tribesmen. He sometimes wears outfits made from animal hides he must have skinned himself, rather than bought cotton like most others. He keeps rifle on his back. He still wears a pistol of course, a gift from the 13th cavalry for his service as a tracker.

Born from a native women, Two Crows has no idea who his parents where. She died in childbirth, but like many native women she might have had an affair with a white solider...or been raped. Ether case, Two Crows was raised in a orphanage by a religious order of nuns. Eventually he learned enough about white culture to realize how many of them felt about natives. He found his own way, managing to come across an Tribal Elder who lost his own people to the wars. When he found out that his mother gave him his name, he saw it as a sign that he should teach the young man enough about the land and the native peoples. The elder took him into the mountains, teaching him the ways of survival, tracking, and the other skills he would need to prosper. The Elder passed, and Two Crows needed money...because he did not want to live as hermit. So the 13th Calvary seemed like his only option.
