The Appearance

Physical Description: A man of fairly average height. Not to tall but also not to short either. Though compared to some other men his age he's pretty short and often get called shorty on a regular basis by his much taller friends. What Kira lacks in height though he more then makes up for in other ways. He has medium length light brown hair. His dress style is fairly edgy without being too over top. So maybe he'll wear torn jeans with a white semi low cut tee-shirt with a semi formal dress coat and black converse high top kind of shoes. He also has a things for hats, especially fedora style of hats and will almost never be seen going anywhere outside without one atop his his head.



Distinguishing Features: His black fedora style hat. He never goes anywhere without it. It's kind of signature thing. He also in honor of the fact that he comes from a long familial line of samurai has a fairly large tattoo of a lone samurai just below his right shoulder blade.

The Human


Personality: A cool and confident guy who takes his work very seriously. But he is also the guy that works hards so that he could play hard later on. He also has tendency to get quite clingy and sometimes a bit overly flirty when he's had one too many drinks. As he more often then not views the world through the lens of his camera, Kira's view of the world is very limited, far too limited for his liking. Which is why he is hoping to one day break free from his often boring, same ol', same ol' job at the fashion magazine company he currently works for. He wishes to expand his horizons far beyond the world of fashion. After all the world isn't just about the beautiful people that live in it, it's also about the average hard working people. You know the ones that are just happy and thankful for the simple things they have in life, like family, friends and the occasional drink at a bar or restaurant after work. Those are the kind of real people Kira hope to view the lens of his camera, not the fake ones he's being made to capture now.


Mundane Skills:


- Very skilled with a camera
- Very skilled at cooking/baking (It's hobby of his)
- Organization skills second to none among his friends (Mess or disorganization is a big no, no with him.)
- In very good physical condition as he runs and practises martial arts on a regular basis (Just something that has been instilled in him from a very young age so now it's just become a permanent part of his daily routine.)
- He can also play music mostly just the piano and violin though
- Bilingual as he can speak both Japanese and English

Occupation: Photographer for a modelling agency


Goals:


- To one day save up enough money to be able to quit his job and travel the world over
- To one day visit the land of his ancestors in Japan seeing as how he had never been there before
- To be able to take the kind of "real" pictures he's always dreamed of doing.


Fears:


- Mess and or clutter as he has major case of OCD in other words
- Fears he'll be alone for the rest of his life since his job keeps him busy more often then not thus leaving him very little time to spare for building and or keeping romantic relationships with others.


The Story


Character Background:


How did you come to be at the Island?:


Kira grew up in a pretty average hard working Japanese family. His parents moved here from Japan not long after his mother got pregnant with him. This was due to his father getting a job offer as a fairly well paid martial arts instructor at a local dojo that was opening up in the states. Despite his father making a fairly decent salary, they weren't rich by any means of the word. But this fact never seemed to bother his parents in the least bit. They were just happy to have enough money to pay their bills and put food on the table. They stayed humble which was something that really stuck with Kira even after he grew up and moved out of the family home.

After graduating high school, Kira went to the local university and studied the art of photography. He graduated when he was twenty one and got a decent paying job as a photographer for a modelling agency. Not exactly his dream job of course but it was good job experience all the same. It wasn't till his second year of working for the agency though that things began to go downhill for him. He was starting to get bored to tears of fashion and wanted break away from it. Kira wanted take what he learned as a photographer and apply that gained knowledge and experience to create an artform that will really speak to the average everyday hardworking person. He wanted to take pictures of such people so as to show the masses that the world does not revolve sorely around the rich and the famous, that it instead really revolves around the hard working citizens that help make it do so in the first place.

As for what brought Kira to the Island it was his simple good deed of really wanting and trying to change the view and opinion of a jaded high society that seem to constantly look down upon the average everyday person through the power of his camera.
