Physical Description: Ashe has short windswept ebony black hair and dazzling silver blue eyes. He has a big tattoo of a phoenix on his back. It stretches from one shoulderblade to the next. He also always wears a single dangling red fire opal earring in his right ear. It has significant meaning which will be explained later on. He’s a pretty laid back guy when it comes to style. So jeans and tee-shirts and sometimes no tee-shirt are usually the style most will find him dressed in more often then not on his off days.

Distinguishing Features: In his human form, his most distinguishing feature are his silver blue eyes or at least that’s what people say whenever they see or meet him. In true Phoenix form though his most distinguishing feature are his brilliantly plumed red feathers that are unsurprisingly hot to the touch. So touching is a defininte no, no.

The Human

Personality: Personality wise Ashe is a very loyal, brave and selfless almost to a fault at times. He always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty if it means even just a single life be it human or animal can be saved from an untimely death by fire. After having lost someone close to him in a fire he has since made it his life’s mission to always do whatever he has to prevent a life from being lost due to it.

Mundane Skills:
- Excellent fitness skills
- Can cook surprisingly well (Well for a guy anyway)
- Good with his hands in other words he’s quite the good handyman

Occupation: Firefighter

Goals: He has but one goal in life and that is to prevent any more unecessary deaths due to fire. When he was young he lost someone near and dear to him to his heart in a fire. He feels responsible for their death since the one that started it was one of his own kind who resented him because he had chosen to live amongst humans as opposed to his own kind. No he has since made it his life’s mission to never allow such a tragedy to befall anyone else be they human or otherwise.

Fears: Ashe’s greatest fear is that his kind will turn against him and might decide to rain their firey wrath upon the humans he has since come to love and respect and in that sworn to protect. He also fears that his power alone will not be able to stand against them. Though it's true with his one of his special abilities he may be able to save some, he may not be able to save them all. He is only one bird after all and can only do so much to help before needing to rest or replenish his power.

The Not So Human

Powers and Abilities:
Fire Manipulation- User can create, shape and manipulate fire, the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products, flame being the visible portion of the fire. Depending on the substances alight, and any impurities outside, the color of the flame and the fire's intensity will be different.

Healing Tears- The user has tears that can heal any wound it touches. They can heal any living being including humans, animals, plants, etc. If the healing properties in the tears are potent enough, the user can cure poison and diseases and even revive the dead by crying on them.

Ash Resurrection- The user is able to revive themselves upon death, either instantly or after some time, turning into ash or bursting into flames.

Vulnerabilities: All phoenix have but one weakness really and that is iron since like many creatures, it burns their flesh.

The Story

Character Background: This story begins when Ashe who was not but just a young defenseless chick. His mother due to her making friends with humans was banished from the safety of the flock and forced to raise her child on her own. It was a hard life to be sure, a single lone phoenix living alone with her only chick in what could be at times a very harsh and often cruel world. But somehow she managed to keep them both healthy and most importantly alive for many years. But before long she and Ashe were found out by some hunters no doubt sent by her own kind. And in an effort to protect him quickly turned one of her feathers into an earring and tucked it away into the nest he was sleeping in. When she did so he magically took on a young human boy form. His mother must've figured it the hunters that were after them came and saw a human child there they'd spare or at the very least overlook him. And she was right they did and only came after her. They naturally ended up killing her with iron weapons they fashioned. Because of this she was unable to resurrect herself.

Some years later when Ashe was a young teenager, the kind old woman to whom he had been given to, to be raised by one of the hunters that killed his mother was killed in a house fire or at least that's what they assumed anyway. But Ashe being much older and wiser now knew the truth, that, that fire was no accident at all. It was purposefully set by his own kind to no doubt serve as a warning to not follow his mother's footsteps when it came to fraternizing with humans. But Ashe after being raised as human by a human for so long had grown a certain fondness for them. After all he had since learned that one couldn't very well condemn a whole race just based on the despicable unforgivable actions of a few heartless ones. There were good people here, much like the kind older woman that raised and loved him as if he were own child.

After losing his human mom in the fire, Ashe became a firefighter and in doing so made it his life's mission to make sure no one else at least on his watch ever lost their lives to fire be it a deliberately set or not. Of course he knew the irony in his doing so was that he was fire creature himself. A powerful creature who was fully capable of burning down entire cities and forests if he so chose. But the way he saw things was you fight fire with fire, like quite literally. And so that's what he does day in and day out. But even as he's doing so he knows it's a huge risk considering how resentful his kind can be at times. But no matter what he will do whatever he has to protect and keep them safe. He feels he owes to both his mothers to do so.

How did you come to be at the Island?: Seems word of his tireless and more often then not selfless firefighting deeds had spread a lot father then he could've ever possibly have imagined. And now well here he was on this beautiful island. It was just so surreal to him and he didn't really feel he deserved all this. After all he was just doing what he loved to do. A simple smile or a thank you would've sufficed well enough for him.
