Her hands are petite, but with long, slender fingers, usually with short, unvarnished nails to allow her full feeling of her base guitar strings.  She wears a minimal amount of make-up and jewelry, except for photo shoots, and generally wears dark colors, especially black.  On stage she prefers to wear either a long black sequined dress, or black leather pants and a jacket - although she has performed nude on several occasions.

The Human

Mundane Skills:Excellent singer, with a dynamic range; very good bass guitar player, with a signature sound; good model and dancer; good poet and song-writer; she is passable at playing the piano and cello, and a passable sketch artist; she has passable business administrative and marketing skills, and is a decent photographer.  She has worked in several small independent films, and is a passable actress in small roles.  Dahl speaks some Spanish, and can read some Latin.

Occupation: Singer/base player in the goth band The Chilblains

Goals:To create amazing art that hasn't been done before; to travel around the world on tour and see many different countries; to become financially independent enough to allow herself to devote all her time towards creating art, either through music or some other art form.

Fears: Financial ruin or dependence, so that she could no longer pursue her art, or be required to slave away at a boring, mundane profession in order to make ends meet; to lose her voice, both her inner mental voice and the outer voice she sings with; to truly tap into some of the dark desires she has locked within her heart

The Not So Human
Species Description:Mostly human, with a few drops of demonic blood that she does not know about

Powers and Abilities: Extremely alluring towards all other creatures, male or female, whether she wants their attentions or not; her vocal abilities seem almost extra-human

Vulnerabilities: Dalh has never been a fan of direct sunlight (it gives her headaches and she burns easily); she has an aversion or distaste of anything overtly religious, especially Christian; pornography and violent sex in general greatly disturbs her,and arouses things inside herself she'd rather not deal with.

The Story
Character Background:
Dahlia Gallego was a quiet, shy, talented art major who dropped out of art school at 19 and became lead singer and bass player for a band called The Chilblains, in New York City. In three years they have become on the verge of becoming one of the city's Next Big Thing, and have managed to secure a contract with a small, but influential independent music label in New York; they have toured around the US, mostly on the east coast, opening for other, more established bands, but also making a name for themselves based mainly on their unusual, eclectic performances, dark sound, songwriting, and, especially, Dahl's powerful vocals, which can range from dark and sweet (like Hope Sandoval) to feral growling and guttural (like Otep).  What Dahl doesn't know is that her grandmother back in Spain made a deal with a demon during the Spanish Civil War, which saved her family and passed on certain traits through her bloodline.  Both her grandmother and mother died early, and the family's demonic debt has been paid in full, but the 'taint' lives on in her, both in her abilities, and in the darker desires that sometimes come to the surface in her dreams, or when viewing certain subjects.  Dahl tries to deal with these desires and thoughts through her music - but her craft can only take her so far.  She probably needs some psychological counseling, but she has neither the time nor the inclination for that as of yet.

She has taken a break from recording her band's first album to visit the Island, which she hopes is a springboard to bigger and better opportunities for her group.  She has brought her bass guitar, her laptop, a digital audio recorder, a few changes of clothing, and her smart phone to the Island.
