Physical Description:
In her human form,  Pippa is a sprightly woman in her early twenties.  She carries with her an aura of youth and innocence despite the fact that she tends to wear clothing, or rather a lack of clothing, which shows her to be anything but.  She rarely, if ever, clads her feet in shoes, preferring to feel the earth and the life of the world through it.  Her hair is a long cascade of reddish blonde curls usually pulled into pigtails and adorned with flowers. Her skin is pale and pure, the glow of life on her skin pinking her cheeks.  Gleaming purple eyes and cupid's bow smile that is regularly pulled into a playful look of sheer glee.



In her natural state, as the Spring Lady, Pippa's hair and countenance is perhaps more regal, though her personality toward fun and games tends to temper that a bit.  She is clothed in the leaves, flowers, and vines of nature.  Her hair as in her human form is varying shades of light redish hues that can turn bright red depending on her passion of the moment.

Distinguishing Features:

Pippa's most distinguishing feature besides her general childlike behavior and general lack of modesty- is the trail of flowers that she wears.  While they sometimes are in her hair, along her wrist, or curling around her ankle, they are always there as a mantle of Spring.

The Human
Personality:
Pippa, as the Spring Lady is the semblance of life and childlike freedom.  She is joyful and happy with a penchant for games.  She is a nymph and as a nymph has a appetite for the joys and delights of the world.  However, Pippa enjoys a good game or riddle.  She delights in providing mortals and immortals alike with lessons that will help them find what they most desire.

Pippa is completely in love with Elegast.  Since the moment she saw him, he became her world.  His happiness is her happiness and she knows that he feels the same.

Mundane Skills:
Pippa enjoys games and dancing.  She is a fantastic gardener.  She can sing and dance and is very good with animals.

Occupation:
The Spring Lady: She is the Herald of Summer.  Her job is to transfer the mantle of power from Winter to Summer and to bring about the rebirth of the world after its frozen slumber.  She is slated to be the next Spring Queen and replace her mother Lilly when she passes to Mother Spring.

Upon marrying Elegast Pippa also took up the mantle of being Queen of the Fae.  As such she has joined with Elegast to create the island.


Goals:
Pippa desires to make her husband happy- that is her foremost goal.  As a spirit of life, Pippa wishes to inspire creativity and  love.  She nurtures children and joy.

Fears:
Pippa's greatest fear stems from her marriage and the tentative balance of the seasons.  Because of her marriage she is aware that she has gained in power and that has caused concern with the other mantles both in Spring and the other seasons.  She also fears that death and cold might at some point take over the world ceasing all life. But her greatest fear is losing her beloved.


The Not So Human
Species Description:
Pippa is a Nymph which means that she is very comfortable with her body and doesn't completely understand the reasoning behind clothing and modesty, but she's intrigued and trying.

Powers and Abilities:
As a Nymph her abilities are honed to plant life and making things grow. She is adept at specifically blossoms and they tend to appear when she is happy.  She controls the warmth of spring that can cast out the frost and decay of winter.

Vulnerabilities:
Pippa must have a connection to the earth especially soil.  Because of this she is usually in bare feet.  She does not do well walking on man made surfaces.  Wood and stone are better than concrete and synthetic materials, but she is best when she is in direct contact with sand or soil, air and sunlight.

The Story
Character Background:
Pippa is the daughter of Lilly who is the Queen of Spring.  She was born to be the Spring Lady and has spent her life wearing the mantle of Spring.  Being a Nymph her antic were mostly ignored by the other courts- after all she was the Lady of Spring and simply a herald for the much stronger court of Summer.

Upon meeting Elegast, however, everything changed.  She did not know he was the Allfather at the time, but she knew upon seeing him that she would do anything for him.  When he gave her his heart it was the greatest moment of her existence.  The entire world reveled as they courted.

The other seasons put up with the romance figuring that Elegast would move on at some time, but when they wed, it caused a great anger in the other courts as Pippa's power grew as she took on the new mantle of Queen.  For a time they tried to live in balance.  When the "concerns" of the courts became too strong to ignore, Elegast and Pippa retreated to the island.

How did you come to be at the Island?:
After several centuries of pleasant existence on the island Pippa and Elegast desired to share their paradise with the worthy.  Since that time they have selected those that are deserving of such an existence to come to their paradise to rest, recover, and revel.
