Physical Description: Tom has short brown hair that at times can be seen as messy and together at the same time with brown eyes. In terms of his clothiing style, he is usually a t shirt and jeans kind of guy or clothes that are easy to move in but he would go for something more formal if the situation called for it. Basically, he dresses like someone who knows that he is attractive to at least some people but doesn't spend the time needed to look perfect. As long as he is satisfied with his own appearence, he is ok
Distinguishing Features: Tom has three small barely noticeable marks along his abs from where the demon impaled him with its claws



The Human
Personality: Tom is a decent guy always willing to lend a hand, shoulder, or ear to anyone who may need him even if he gets hurt in the process. To him, helping others no matter what is the right thing to do although some say that there are tiimes when he hurts himself by putting others above himself which he understands but he is always grateful to see someone smile when he is helping them. He isn't naive and is usually a good judge of character so most of the time he can tell between those who truly need his help, those that want to use him and those who can really handle things without him.

Even after the small time that has passed, he is still unsure of his place now that he and Amadriel have merged. Tom did not even know that such things as angels and demons existed until he almost died and gained his powers. Amadriel has answered some of his questions when he responded to him but his new 'inner voice' has been kind but firm and also a little distant. He has told Tom that he is this way to protect him from danger since there would be many from his 'life' who would wish to kill or use him for what he is now but Tom doesn't care. He knows the angel means well, but how could he truly learn about what he can do and what he actually was now unless he got involved in the world that he was now a part of
Mundane Skills: Tom is a decent cook and even though he is taking classes to make it official, he is also a good physical trainer
Occupation: Student (Tom is studying business as well as working to get his personal trainer certificaiton because he wants to open his own gym)
Goals: 1. To learn more about the world he is now a part of 2. To learn the limits of his powers 3. To relax 4. To hopefully find out exactly what he is now. 5. To help those who truly need him 6. To Start his own business
Fears: 1. That he may be diving in over his head with learning about the world beyond  the human one 2. That he may not like the answer of what he may be now. 3. That he may accidentally hurt someone with his new powers 4. Total darkness



The Not So Human
Species Description: Tom was human before Amadriel merged with him but now he wonders if he doesn't qualify as that anymore...or at least not qualify as an ordinary human
Powers and Abilities:

HEALING: Tom can heal the injuries of those he touches. Obviously the more severe the wound or affliction the more time it would take to heal
FLIGHT: By thinking about it, Tom can manifest a pair of glowing wings from his back in order to fly
LIGHT GENERATION/CONTROL: Tom can generate light from his hands and eyes and shape it.
Vulnerabilities:
While his essence has merged with Amadriel's and he has a portion of his powers, Tom is still physically (At least for now) an ordinary human so he is vulnerable to the normal injuries and sickness someone like this is. In terms of his powers, he does not have Amadriel's skill or level of power. In terms of his light generation, he has only been able to make basic shapes so far and overall can only use them for about an hour overall before needed to rest

The Story
Character Background:
This tale begins with Amadriel, an angel who wandered the Earth for millenia, slaying demons and those evil enough to ally with them to corrupt and hurt innocent humans To him, doing this was his job and duty and always took priority in his life above anything or anyone else. It was not that he was against humanity overall. He truly cared for and respected them, especially those with the courage and skill to fight with him against evil.

However, they were mortal so Amadriel kept his distance. He was socialable when he was among them and mourned when at least some of them passed, but he knew the last part was part of who they were plus the job always came first. As such, he never truly formed any strong bods with anyone, even among those were not human because he had a duty and in his heart and mind, he could never slack off with that.

About a year ago, he began tracking down a cult known as the Children of Duality. He eventually managed to find one of their main cells but was unfortunately too late as two demons were summoned as he barged in. The leaders of this particular cell thought they were gods who would give them power if they gave them sacrifices but all the demons wanted was to slaughter and eat the cult members. As the slaughter happened, Amadriel took care of both demons but as the second demon fell of his blade he saw something that made him stop in his tracks: a young woman crying over the mortally wounded form of Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer had set off to find his runaway younger sister Erica who had run away to join the Cult of Duality to get away from their stepfather who had been secretly molesting her for years and she was too ashamed to let anyone know. So, he took upon itself to find her and bring her home and make sure she knew she wasn't alone. He managed to sneak into the compound and find her but was caught in the process and the leader of the group decided that he would be a good offering 'for when their gods arrive'. He was as shocked as a lot of the cult members were when he saw actual demons appears who began slaughtering and eating the cult members.

When he saw one of the demons head towards his sister, Tom knew immediately what he had to do. He managed to get out of his bonds and run and he jumped in front of his sister and was impaled upon the demon's claws.

It was Erica who was crying as she looked up at Amadriel and said "I swear....I swear I didn't know anything like this was going to happen!!! He did this to save me...so please help him!! I will give you whatever you want.....JUST SAVE MY BROTHER!". Amadriel knew he had his duty and tracking down the remnants of the cult right away but he did this to protect the innocent...but if he let this young man died then wouldn't he have failed in his duty then?

Amadriel knew what to do at that moment. He kneeled down next to Tom and smiled at Erica as he put his hands on him and began glowiing brightly. Erica covered her eyes to shield them and when the light faded Tom suddenly sat up with a gasp and was fully healed but Amadriel was gone. Tom thought he was about to die and had no idea what was going beyond his sister hugging him and sobbing an apology until he heard the gruff voice of Amadriel as he said with a tone of respect to his voicce "Do not worry noble soul. All is well..."

It was Tom's willingness to sacrifice his life (Along with Amadriel's sacrifice and his millenia of service) that led to him recieving an invitation to the island a couple of months after him and Erica returned home
