  Professor Erasmus Riske
     A cheerful, ruggedly handsome man, with blue eyes, flaxen hair, and a cleft chin.  Standing just over 175 centimeters (5-foot-9), with the trim build of an active person who spends a lot of time in the outdoors, Erasmus Riske is a charming academic who tries to get along with everyone.

     Erasmus Riske--"call me Eri" (pr: "airy")--is a Professor at the University of Istieru, in the Carrillian Assembly.  He's a Historian, specializing in the study of Solomani migration and settlement in the Reaver's Deep sector.  He's currently on Sabbatical, visiting a select few locations of professional interest.  He offers to help around the ship, but readily admits that he's led a cloistered and academic life, and so has next to no useful shipboard skills.  Even helping out with cooking and housekeeping, Professor Riske barely knows his way around a dishwasher.
