Ronny is incredibly hard to miss: a scrawny red-head with profusions of freckles, an inability to keep still, and a noticeable lack of volume control (or, really, filter of any kind) is bound to draw attention. Adults forced to describe him usually land on something like 'excitable' or 'energetic,' with the most tactful preferring 'imaginative' and a few unlucky souls whose only response is a baleful glare.

His reputation, of course, precedes him: hyperactive, too smart for his own good but not as smart as he thinks he is, latchkey son of Deputy Jim Fox. A few years ago, he earned got the sympathetic attention of the town for having a mother who'd died of cancer; these days, any sympathy gets directed to his dad, who's forced to deal with Ronny.
