The Sixth Floor

Set in most one of the densely populated cities of the Pacific Northwest, this story means to take ordinary people and thrust them into a highly unusual situation whether they want to or not.

As of 2019, the estimated population of Seattle Washington was 744,955. The city of Seattle covers a landmass only 83.78 square miles in total which is surrounded on all sides by lakes and rivers. This means that if you were to stand almost anywhere in the city on average you would have roughly 8,892 people within a square mile of you.

Out of all these people, only a handful of people have been chosen.

In the average American apartment building, there is little more than a few feet between one renter and another. By modern building standards, roughly 4 and a half feet is all that separates one home from the next. But by most accounts, the only times the people occupying these dwellings interact is when they have personal grievances with one another.

Never before have human beings been so surrounded but completely isolated at the same time.

What does the word neighbor even mean anymore?
