Description: A severe young man, Lieutenant Jaren rarely smiles.  He could pass for a 'normal' human, but for his pale skin and his lack of strong emotions.  He works hard to try and integrate into society, trying to be accepted.  Not all of his cybernetic enhancements were able to be removed as he regained his humanity, and he still has a neural interface, a cybernetic hand, nanites and a cybernetic eye.  The only piece that is obvious is the implant that runs from his right temple to just above his ear.  He is self conscious about it and has grown his hair out to at least make an attempt at covering it.

Service record: As the first liberated borg drone admitted to Star Fleet, his career was followed closely by many who either feared him or hoped for the future of those freed from the borg.  He graduated top of his class from Star Fleet Academy at the age of 20.  Jaren's first assignment was aboard the Titan under Captain William Riker.  He served with great distinction, he remaining implants allowing him to have a greater understanding and control over the ship's weapons and defensive systems.  Biologicals that are implanted with a Neural Interface to run ship systems are only able to handle the strain for a few hours, at most.  Jaren lived most of his life with a complete neural implant, fully integrated into the collective.  He is able to handle the strain for days on end.  He started to rapidly rise through the ranks, first getting a promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade and then a field promotion to Lieutenant during the crisis against the Null.  His first tour of duty over, he now finds himself assigned to the Fleet's newest ship, the Wanderer.

Pre-Starfleet: In 2375, a borg cube was destroyed on the outskirts of the Federation, a small group of young borg were seperated from the collective.  They were brought back to the federation and several of them were able to be reformed and regain at least most of their humanity.  Among them was a teenage boy who was eventually able to remember his name, Jaren Farson.  At the age of 17, he applied for and was accepted to Star Fleet Academy.
