Monster-Taming in Legacy
Welcome to Legacy: Life Among the Ruins. This is a powered-by-the-apocalypse title with a strong focus on collaborative world-building, inter-community politics, and generational play. Each player controls both larger faction (or "Family") and a series of individual characters from that faction across multiple generations, building the history and mythology of the world and adding cracks and layers to the Homeland's political landscape.

The game will be using the "Mirrors" setting, meaning that the stranger elements of the world are likely to veer into "Clarke's Third Law" territory, and that players are welcome to select playbooks and options that are more alien, hard-to-explain, or overtly supernatural if they so desire. (Though the more grounded and "mundane" options are no less valid or interesting.) Material from the two expansions, End Game and Engine of Life, will be in play.

We'll be throwing in a fairly broad-strokes conceptual wrench into the premise with the assumption that the majority (not necessarily all) of the strange, supernatural phenomena that warp this landscape (Devices and Tech especially) come in the form of living, unnatural beasts whose abilities can potentially be harnessed and manipulated. This of course draws inspiration from such diverse franchises as Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, Mortasheen, and Monster Pulse, but the actual details of what these creatures are and what commonalities define them will be fleshed out in the same collaborative world-building fashion typical of Legacy.
