Though a little taller than her mother, Jessica's five foot three inch self still has to look up to most adults.  Maybe in a couple generations, the Fielding women will be able to look someone square in the eye.

Her black hair is usually braided behind her and kept out of the way when she's either engaged in target practice or working in the repair shop.

At her mother's insistence, Jess spent a good deal of time working in Bunker Hill's repair shop while growing up.  But like her brother, she eventually found out that she wasn't a bad shot either.  She eventually convinced Tegan to let her start training with the guard as long as she kept up her work in the repair shop.  When an trade expedition left for the West, she immediately signed up.  Her skills with maintaining equipment were a valuable asset and her dead eye with the rifle meant she wouldn't be dead weight in a fight either.
