In his early 30's Amed is not good looking or imposing, although he is in reasonable shape. But he seems to have at least two (or more) brain cells to rub together, which is unusual for someone in his line of work. He is careful (so far) to avoid any legal entanglements. He sometimes dresses in stereotypical track suits and runners, but most of the time dresses normally in jeans, shirt, bomber jacket and boots. He either rides a Honda motorcycle or drives a white work/delivery van.

Amed was born in Bosnia-Hercegovina y Bihac in 1990 to a Muslim-Albanian father and Serbian mother. He was too young to fight during the breakup of Yugoslavia or the later Kosovo War. He got into trouble during school for fighting and afterwards was a member of a gang that smuggled drugs from Turkey (opium for refining into Heroin) into Europe. He was never arrested but was suspected by police for being involved in drug trafficking. In 2011 his gang was ruthlessly eliminated by a rival Serb-Russian syndicate and to preserve his life he was sent to live with his "Uncle Ibro" (Ibro being short for "Ibrahaim") in the UK. His uncle was mobbed up with an Albanian gang and used Amed as muscle on different occasions, although he was not a full gang member. Again, showing up on police radar but never charged.

In 2014 he started dating Mira, a distant cousin, when she was 18. They married in 2019 and had a son Dragomir (after his maternal grandfather) in 2020 and a daughter Sofia in 2021. As he is not a full-time criminal he works a day job as a welder, and part-time food delivery driver for a Donair shop. As a side job he also steals cars (older) but can work on them. Recently he took a course in lock-smithing in order to perhaps change careers, and also potentially dabble in burglary. He has a girlfriend, Chloe (18), on the side. He is not an observant Muslim and drinks and smokes. Like many tradesmen he often enjoys cocaine as it helps him work and doesn't stay in the system like marijuana, which will show up in testing for months after.

Uncle Ibro is married to his Aunt, Sara. Sara is rumoured to be of Rom heritage and is said to have the "evil eye". Seeing something more than just a thug, she hinted at another world, one beyond the sight of normal people. Feeling there was more for him than the ordinary, grey world, Amed was intrigued. Over one evening she told him fantastic stories. Not just back in the Old Country, the Balkans, but here in the UK. He's not sure what to make of it, but feels somehow it is his destiny (or fate) to find out more. Uncle Ibro seems to be grooming him to one day take over his operation, Amed is not so sure this is the path he wants to take. This means that most of the time Uncle Ibro is merely watching him, judging, not offering to help in order to see what he does and how he fares on his own.
