Robin Ceciel

Robin has a bushy raven black hair with bangs that almost cover their brown eyes. several light scars can be seen on their body. Their eyes betray a dark history despite how young he appears overall. He wears a Spanish conquistador style armour and a lot of leather belts for style. His clothes seem very used with parts of the fabric just ripped up or other parts that had fallen off and restitched on numerous times over.

Robin Ceceil was the only child to a family of carpenters. Their life was hardly unique, they had some friends but never too many, they tried to do good things but still got into trouble from time to time. But as Robin had matured they began receiving dreams from angels, the Angel in the dream told Robin that they were special, that they were destined to perform great tasks because they had been chosen by a god to do so. Robin felt inspired as well as empowered by these dreams and as soon as they could they left to go fight evil. The feeling of greatness at being chosen by angels was only eclipsed by the naiveté they possessed, their first fight against a reasonably evil enemy had ended with themselves almost dying, in the middle of nowhere, against goblins no less. Robin then rejected these dreams they had been receiving, for Robin now believed they were a coward for being unable to win and feeling so scared for their life during that battle. They began always overthinking things as well as growing paranoid about anything that could go wrong, that they could not possibly do anything the angelic voice in their dreams had ever told them. One day they were conscripted for a war for their country and trained in combat and tracking to go to the field as a scout. It seemed like their first mission would go fine despite robin’s better judgement and fears that often weighed on their mind, robin felt a bit hopeful. But such hopes were dashed when the group robin was a part of was ambushed suddenly from all sides, in a new profound fear for their life, again Robin ran away. But they failed to run away and was captured. Taken to a prison far behind enemy lines locked in a cell where Robin’s hope also went to die. He was hated by his fellow soldiers who were captured alongside robin, understandably because robin had run away, Robin didn’t blame them. Others were a bit nicer, they even tried to teach him stuff like games to make Robin feel better and pass the time while stuck in the prison. But Robin couldn’t stop feeling lonely. One day Robin thought they had caught a break when the cell around them shook from a battle that had finally reached the prison, then the ceiling began caving in and that was the last thing Robin saw before they died. Their hope crushed yet again or…

It should’ve been but their eyes were opened once again this time by divine magic to see a broken ruin around them covered in dust and rubble. Helping Robin up was another person covered deeply in ornate ivory inlaid robes, they were covered in so many layers that Robin couldn’t catch any features about them except that they had a holy symbol around their neck which they didn’t recognise. The religious individual who had helped Robin explained in a masculine voice to them “you’ve been dead for a long time indeed, nearly a century but I’ve been tasked to help give you one last chance at life, your battle isn’t over Robin”. Robin tried to ask who they were and what had happened but stuff was getting fuzzy for robin and they started to blackout maybe because of coming back to life had taken a toll on their body or because the religious man in front of him had done something, either way as Robin began to lose consciousness the person standing over them said to Robin’s fading consciousness “if you wish to speak with me again, I’m going to Barvovia, feel free to follow if you wish.” and then Robin went under. when they awoke again their resurrector was gone, which Robin thought was quite rude but they didn’t let it bother them. They had no clue what or where this Barvovia was, but Robin left that ruin anyway to try and find their way in the world. They wondered what they should do, they didn’t want to fight again, the idea scared them but they decided they had to take up mercenary work as Robin’s only real clue on why they were revived and what they had to do was that “your battle isn’t over”. So they decided that fighting may be their most likely answer to this problem. Robin tried to join some mercenary companies but it was very hard, seeing as their rampant cowardliness made it difficult to get work done. they were thrown out of several various small mercenary groups, eventually, Robin ended up joining the emerald hounds which so far has been Robin’s most successful go at being a mercenary so far. Robin wants to meet the one who saved them again and ask why they had bothered bringing them back.
