Lost Mines of Phandelver
Greetings! Im Sara, new to RPOL. Im sick of being a Covid-19 shut-in, eager to learn about this fascinating Community and eager to meet new friends!
I am seeking two separate groups of Players to play with. One group will be playing D&D 5E PCs, and the other playing GURPS 4E PCs. Each group will be run individually through the same adventure, Lost Mines of Phandelver. My goal is, first and foremost for my Players and I to have a super fun time! My second goal is to see how both systems work, and to compare the two to see which one works best for the kind of adventures I want to run.
Even though I am trying to experiment with the two game systems, I want, as much as possible, for the actual roleplaying and adventuring and story to be prominent with the game mechanics and rules settled in the blurry background. Yes I will certainly employ the rules, but I want the rules playing out quietly in the background. Sometimes Ill ask for you to make rolls, but sometimes, I, as DM, will do many of the rolls for you, based on the actions you take.
The adventure starts as a First Level adventure with 4 PCs per party. You may opt to play a pregenerated character; build your character with a point buy; or roll randomly.
This game will be a Mature Game for violence and realistic language and stuff. No smutty stuff, please.
If your posting schedule is typically slower than a post once every day or two; this would not be a good game for you and I urge you not to join. If you can keep up with a post every day or two, Id love to have you!
If you already know the module Lost Mines of Phandelver thats okay, so long as you promise not to meta-game and spoil the suspense for the others by revealing information your character wouldnt know. Just play dumb when you run into something you remember from your past run through. If you have NOT yet played the module, I respectfully ask that you do not read through it.

let me know which of the two systems, D&D 5E or GURPS you want to play;
put in order of preference which of the 4 class types (Fighter, Magic User, Thief & Cleric) you would prefer to play.
Let me know which Race (Dragonborn; Dwarves; Elves; Gnomes; Half Elves; Halflings; Half Orcs; Humans) you prefer to play.
