Marvel Mania
Welcome to Marvel Mania! This campaign is open to all players, whether you're a seasoned RPG veteran or if you're brand-new to tabletop games. Similarly, little knowledge of the Marvel Universe is needed to participate. As a rule of thumb, having seen most of the MCU movies is good enough. If you are here from The Amazing Avengers (link to another game), the other long-running MHR campaign here on the RPOL forums, thanks for dropping in! If you got here another way, welcome aboard!

This campaign started as an IRL adventure in late 2018, but has moved online to accommodate busy player schedules as well as to recruit new players. While the story builds upon previous "canon," new players don't need any knowledge of the prior story events to understand what's going on. Plot summaries of the previous adventures are available, but reading them is purely optional and choosing not to shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the current adventure. Everything going forward will be tailored for the new group of players, so although previous events might be referenced occasionally, they won’t be the primary focus of the current story.

What system are we using?
This campaign uses the Marvel Heroic Roleplaying system. Read about it here:

Where do I begin?
Start by reading over "Da Rules" in the game menu. Then take a look at the Current Mission thread, select an appropriate character to play as for the current adventure, and contact The Watcher when you are ready to join.

Who can I play as?
As a general rule, player characters should be selected to fit the challenge level of the current mission, although there may be exceptions. The Watcher will always let players know in advance whether the current mission is street-level, Avengers-level, cosmic-level, etc. The Marvel Heroic Roleplaying sourcebooks contain many player datafiles, but if the character you'd like to play isn't found in the official material we can work around that. A folder containing many of the official player datafiles is available to view here:

What if I have another question?
Consult Da Rules or send The Watcher a message!
