The DUK

"Order is derived solely from balance."

"Balance is the wellspring of order!"

"There is no good or evil - there are merely opposite states of context."

"Order exacted from balance is order indeed!"

Fidduk dun DoolyDoogal carries upon his person at all times the Illusionist's Pipe - the conduit through which much of his magic is expressed - the smoke mingles - the smoke mesmerizes, the smoke is mirage.

After many years of careful study and practice, the machinations of Illusionary design have settled upon the mind of Felonius Jago - who prefers not even one such visage to be known for too many minutes in a row - choosing instead to present himself in essence but older or younger, hair longer or curlier, with beard or without - having mastered the masking cantrip and extending its effect to remain active upon not only his countenance but  the entirety of his being including sartorial effects and objects du persona for many hours at a time until reverting back into prime. He has achieved such feat of Illusion by managing the expectation of those in immediate vicinity - never changing in appearance "enough" to break the revery of minor illusion - "The Duk" never strays from a reasonable "version" of himself to something wholly other - never enough to illicit more than a doubletake - a soft doubt or unspoken questioning of one's own accuracy of perception - never enough to instigate fear or unsettlement beyond the gentle confusion of his intent - only enough to elude precise description or commitment to a long remembering - he is known and unknown - familiar and strange to behold - slippery in company but steadfast of conviction.

He wears intricate pieces of banded leather armor exquisitely fitted to his woolen topcoat concealing a gnomish sling over a tartan vest. He favors ties, ascots and bowties about his neck and wears a hardened felt bowler hat. He carries a short sword sheathed upon his back and a dagger in his belt hidden beneath the faulds of his topcoat.
