Long ago, the Sahenne is said to have been a place of lush forests and sweeping grasslands, filled with myriad forms of vibrant life. A vast, majestic kingdom flourished across land. Then a terrible cataclysm brought sandstorms which lasted for many years. When the storms cleared, no trace of the kingdom remained. The cities and monuments, the people and their accomplishments, all gone, consumed by the sands. In time, humanity returned to the new desert and began to eke out an existence once more.
