Veronica is the strongest of the remaining Brujah in the Camarilla's Court, although as the childe of the Betrayer Primogen, Vincent Martinez, a cloud still hangs over her head. No one quite understands why the sire and childe didn't follow the same path, as during Vincent's tenure as Primogen, she was his loyal Whip.
Now, she is the loudest Rebel voice in Court, and she commands the fierce loyalty of the remaining Brujah. She is also one of the only voices arguing for clemency in the Prince's many witch-hunts for caitiff, thin-bloods, and traitors. The caitiff population within the Camarilla's ranks probably owe most of their numbers' survival to her. She's had no success helping thin-bloods though. It's a wonder she's not yet considered a traitor herself.
She isn't just bark and no bite though. The Crusader is one of the most active and violent ancilla in Portland, and many kindred have personally witnessed her power coming to aid (or interfere) in the conflicts around the city. She is one of the most helpful Kindred to new blood as well. Many neonates know her as The Fixer because of the many times she's covered for and educated the younger generation in their new existence. This hands on approach has earned her many boons and allowed her a measure of indirect influence on the city's workings, to Sheriff Jordan's chagrin. The two have a tenuous relationship, that remains cooperative for now. After all, Veronica's protégé, Isaac Waller has become a well known Hound.

She is strong and useful to the Camarilla, but many still wonder how her often borderline obstruction of the Prince's justice continues to be tolerated. Some suspect she is simply kept alive to use as a tool against her sire. Others are just waiting for the Prince's next mad rampage to quell her permanently.
