Unusual characteristics: In her transformed state, Ruby is made from a ruby-like material similar to her mother's diamond form.

Ruby is the 13-year old daughter of Scott Summers and Emma Frost. She has inherited powers from both of her parents.

Personality: Ruby is exuberant much of the time, which can be exhausting (to others), but this masks a deep-seated insecurity that she will never live up to her parents' reputations.

Ruby Form: In her transformed state, Ruby seems to be made from solid ruby. She can lift approximately one ton, and is nearly impervious to harm. She must be in her transformed state to access her optic blasts (see below). Like her mother, her transformed state is immune to telepathic powers.

Optic Blasts: Ruby's optic blasts are not nearly on a par with her father's yet. Her maximum blast is only half as strong as his, and will drain her completely for a period of approximately 90 seconds. Lower-powered blasts can still drain her, albeit more slowly.

(Unlike her father, Ruby maintains conscious control of her blasts, and does not require a visor. Also, her optic blasts are also black instead of red.)

Telepathy: ??? It remains to be seen if Ruby will ever develop her mother's telepathic abilities.
