Wester 'Trigger' Shane is a tall man who looks very much that which he is, a former soldier hit bad times. He would be handsome but for a near perpetual haunted expression on his face he is rarely seen without his dirty greatcoat, one of the only possessions remaining to him from his time in service and infinitely useful both for keeping warm and for concealing the tools of his trade - in no small part a wide selection of firearms.
