Mathieu is a slight young man of around 19, average height and slim build. His hair is a dark, rusty brown that looks red in the sunlight, and his features are equally muddled: attractive, but not striking; masculine, but not strong; gentle, but not soft.

He wears mourning clothes with only splashes of muted color, though he is somewhat reticent about for whom.
