The Mists of Lokren
The Forest of Piges has always been a dangerous place. Annexed by the Kingdom of Lokren over a century ago, the 30,000-square-mile spread of woodland has remained a deadly frontier province where settlers from the east have struggled to carve out a new life.They have endured attacks from native tribesmen, foreign soldiers, and deadly beasts of the woods who view the Lokrenians as nothing but a new food-source. The orcs and elves in the deep forest wilderness have not taken kindly to the intrusion either.
The people of Lokren have been beset by conflict on all sides as they fight to tame this wild and bountiful land. Despite a great many setbacks, things were just starting to settle down out here in the west.
But then the Red Mist descended, and it drove everyone insane.
Nobody knows how it happened. One day everything was fine; the next, the land was filled with a thick fog, lit seemingly from afar by a hellish red glow. To breathe that mist was to utterly lose control of yourself. And then the killing began...
You have awoken in the trackless wilderness in the aftermath of this bizarre and inexplicable event. You are alone, and you have no memory of how you got here. You remember the Red Mist, the crazy, wild-eyed chaos that followed, and then... nothing.
And the forest is now a far more dangerous place than ever it was before...
