Harker Carpenter

- At a glance: Short of stature and broad of shoulder, it might be easy to mistake Harker for a native if it weren't for the "classic" Mutton-Chop and Handlebar combo that he sports. While for the most part he dresses in practical local garb, he's rarely seen without his "lucky" waistcoat (a well-worn and patched leather affair with horn toggles) and never fails to invest in good boots, which he keeps well polished. Among his survival gear, suspended on '08 pattern webbing, he wears a revolver and a machete and looks like he knows how to use them. Rough, tough and as weathered as a barnacle; Harker looks the part of someone that has been tumbled through the wringer and come out smiling on the other side.

- On second look: Even underneath his clothes, it's obvious that Harker has the muscled physique of someone used to long hours of hard labour and despite approaching the shadow of his youth, it's clear he has no intention of letting that muscle go to fat. Though his clothes and equipment appear worn and battered, on closer inspection it's obvious that they are well maintained and their appearance is simply due to frequent use in a harsh climate rather than from neglect. He obviously applies the same attitude to his personal grooming; he may be far from immaculate, but his hair, beard and 'tache are neatly trimmed and he shaves daily. Harker sports no distinctive scars, but his hands are calloused and thick-skinned, with the ground-in dirt lines of a working man and he sports the ruddy tan of a robust Englishman gone native in a hotter climate.
