Amazing Fantasy (Sword & Sorcery Superheroes)
Okay, the concept here is the world of Marvel/DC superheroes, BUT in a somewhat typical fantasy-type world.In other words, it's the concepts of Marvel Comics//DC Comics, but all the big world-saving NPCs have the same names as in the comic books.
--Iron Man wears super-magical full plate mail armor.
--The Punisher is a REALLY intimidating vigilante fighter with a skull painted on his breastplate.
--Dr. Strange is arguably the world's greatest wizard.
--Psylocke was a mage who traded minds with a monk and now she (sort of) has the best of both worlds...
--Mister Miracle is a very skilled rogue, and Big Barda is a very tough fighter.
--Black Canary is a fighter who wears a Choker of Banshee Scream.
--Cyborg's father was a mage who fixed his injured son up with magical artificial limbs/body parts.
--Red Tornado is a suit of armor with a couple of air elementals trapped inside (the good one is usually in control)...
You get the idea.
YOU get to choose one of the following:
--EITHER you make up your own heroic fantasy character to try to make it into the big leagues
--OR you play the fantasy version of an existing comic-book hero (or anti-hero)... but they usually come with baggage...
(Old-school Marvel Geeks: Remember that time when Conan's villain Kulan Gath cast a spell over Manhattan to turn it into a sword-and-sorcery world, and everyone in it into a sword-and-sorcery person, and the X-Men and Avengers had to stop him? (And he kept calling Parker "Man of Spiders"?) This is a lot like that!)
