Since appearing in Buda-Pest, Csonka Ferenc has established himself with the kine, as a crusader and scholar returning from the Holy Land -- one of the last members of a lesser-noble family in the county of Pest.

At the same time he established himself with the Court of Prince Vencel Rikard. Among the kindred if he were more socially adapt he might have managed to make himself the leader of a party within the Court, but, alas, he is not.

Ference represents himself as a proud, yet open-minded, Magyar who sees European ways as the future, but works simultaneously to find means to take the best Eastern ideas and exploit those as well. At times this has meant that he has had to point out a leader’s bad ideas and explain to him why they are bad; however, his words have proven true often enough that this has worked to his advantage. Thus, he has achieved a status among the kindred equivalent with the influence his family name provides among the kine in Buda-Pest.
