Merla is one of the wee ones who has spent most of her life in the university studying and apprenticing to one of the high wizards.  She is naturally curious and while she loves pouring through tomes in the library, she does have a touch of wanderlust.  Having accumulated a bit of knowledge and power, her mentor decided it was time she see the the real world.  Unfortunately the gates have been closed and she finds herself in the employ of the Flaming Fist.

Standing a couple of inches shy of three feet, Merla has long hair that's so pale it's white.  Her eyes are icy blue but there is the typical halfling warmth in them.  She wears somewhat plain clothing underneath a blue robe and while most halflings go barefoot she has adopted the practice of wearing good solid boots.  She wears a pale and clear blue gem on a chain which serves as her arcane focus.  Otherwise, she carries a dagger and light crossbow.
