Less observant folk might be forgiven for failing to notice Abadon, for the gnome’s duller skin colouring disappeared him whenever stonework was about in the region.  Although he was tall for his kind, nearly four whole feet!, he retained the slim gnomish build, sizeable nose, and bald head.  His dark eyes looked warily upon new folk, almost automatically, but quickly brightened towards good cheer or items of interest.

A suit of dull overlapping grey scales protected his form, and his clothes for travel were likewise muted.  A backpack and belt pouch contained his worldly items, and a pair of holy symbols hung from his neck, and upon the wooden and metal shield at his side.
