Varis Nailo is a Mountain Elf, and a young one at that, in his late 20's probably. He fled to the lands of the Greenwood Elves as a child with a mob of other Mountain Elves, and it was a nightmarish journey. During the journey he manifested several od arcane magics in times of need. He's been living in the port city of the Greenwood Elves, Lighttree,where he has studied to try and make sense of these magics. Hearing of the expedition, he took the opportunity even though those older advised him it was folly.
