As headstrong as he is kind, Diyan fought alongside Vinaya in Queen Aanya's army wielding a thick skull and a Durenian spear.  But his soul was sprinkled with wanderlust, and the hopes to indulge it in an era of peace.  If human hostilities ever ebb, he hopes to travel with Vinaya to visit Katolis, like their Duren ancestors did.
