(d20) Background of the Underdark
In the Underdark, great things happen, often between the least known, or smallest of people. Battles in the streets and alleys were just as important as the major plays being made by Drow Houses, or Orog communities, threatening extinction of one another.Oftentimes, we focus too much on those lives of the mediocre players, the players that fought the ground wars. We never delve deep into the lifestyles of the players high up on the totem pole... the ones who REALLY made the choices and the true killers of hundreds at a time with singular decisions.
In this game, a few (very few) of my greatest players are being involved to create some of the background influences that affect the primary world of Depths of the Underdark. The changes here WILL influence the world over there, and both games will be kept at a similar pace. This is also a way for those players to enjoy playing higher level characters, and seeing serious growth and advancements for those characters.
This game is MUCH faster "paced", even if the timelines are the same. Players here will be dealing with Purple Wyrms, Black Dragons, Mindflayer attacks, Drow assassination attempts... all sorts of things that REALLY made the Underdark what it is. This is a BRUTAL game. If you die: its fine, and expected almost. If you don't, you will achieve a LOT more than you're used to. High risks, high rewards, and even higher threats that you don't see coming...
