Ghostbusters International
Ever since there has been any human culture, there have been theories about the way things are the way they are, religious beliefs, and also ghost stories; haunted groves, roads, inns, houses, forests, you name it and some group of people somewhere at sometime told tales of something akin to it linked to the local area.The actual existence of the things lurking in these dwellings and locations tended to be dismissed on the whole by society as made up or false, and this went doubly so for the Academic Community. That was until four men put their lives and believes on the line, and drew a line in the sand they dared the Supernatural to cross; their story is well known by now, how despite mounting odds and bureaucratic red tape they managed to save Manhattan from a giant creature (that they summoned in the first place, but such minor details can be ignored).
They continued to defend their beloved city of course, but spooky stories stretch far and wide and there's only so much four men in jumpsuits can do. That is why they formed Ghostbusters International, to allow for franchises to be formed in other states and, yes, even other countries.
You are members of one of these franchises, ready to pit your skills against the Supernatural or just the world at large as the case may be. You might all be very different or the same, have opposite goals driving you or be on board with a singular cause. What matters in the end is when you get a call, you load up and roll out.
