Your Character’s Background:
Alec is transgenic.  He was produced by Manticore through experimental genetic technology designed to produce various classes of enhanced beings for warfare.  Manticore is a secret organization of rogue Technocratic Progenitors.  Alec was trained from birth in a laboratory.  He was regularly subjected to behavioral modification and experimentation.  The scars of these experiences continue to shape his personality.  Alec is the fifth iteration of genetically engineered beings.  His specific variation was designed to excel at Void Engineering and umbral travel.  Alec was freed from Manticore during a Technocracy raid.  After extensive evaluation, it was decided that instead of termination, he would be recruited and repurposed.  Alec was allowed to join the technocracy.  He was recruited by the Neutralization Specialist Corps and assigned to the Presidio construct.  Alec harbors a deep hatred for Manticore and seeks to destroy the organization.
