Bartimaeus Gianakos wears the travel-stained tabard of an Acolyte of Oghma over leather armor and tall boots. A hood is thrown back over his narrow shoulders showing a youthful face and short brown curly hair, but though he smiles it does not touch his eyes. Those eyes express the fatigue of long hours spent studying and watching the stars, and behind that a fatigue deeper still.

Rolled-up scrolls poke out of his pack that visibly burdens his feeble body, and he carries a map half-folded in his hand, though it is no map of normal geography but covered in blue and white inked lines crossing and recrossing in bizarre geometrical shapes. In his other hand he keeps his footing with a crosier, tapping the path ahead of him as his eyes and his mind wander elsewhere.
