In A Room [Archive]

You had heard of unknown lights in the sky the last few days, social media has been overwhelmed by videos of the small glowing orbs hovering and zooming all around the world with some getting very close to people. No one acknowledged what they were, nor ownership, but "we're looking into it" was a common statement from governments around the world.

You had been going about your life, unaware it was about to change immensely, when the lights came towards you. The glowing orb seemed to be coming straight for you with purpose. Maybe you tried to run or perhaps you just stood dumbfounded but either reaction lead to the same result: your senses being overwhelmed by the bright light and you lost consciousness.

You awake in a twenty foot square room, lit by unseen means. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all a dull grey color. There are no discernible doors or windows, all edges are rounded and there are no creases or groves. The rooms seems airtight, and yet fresh air must be coming from somewhere. A low humming that can be heard from... somewhere outside the room, that adds to the uneasiness of the already confusing atmosphere.

While those are all details worth considering, there are a few more immediate facts that are of more notice. One of which is that you are not alone in the room, there are two others with you. Those other people seem to be waking up too, who, like you, were lying on the uncomfortable and cold floor as they slept. For most of you, however, the most immediate thing you notice as you wake is the fact you are naked. In the middle of the room, between its occupants, is a small pile of what seem to be everything the three were wearing or carrying at the time of their abduction.
