Lady Sylvia is the vivacious daughter of Lord Bryce Connington of the Stormlands. She is buxom, with wide, swaying hips, soft pale skin and a rich head of "fire-kissed" hair, common among the Conningtons, leading to a great deal of flattery and attention.

She is quick of wit, and prone to tease those around her, incluiding her cousin Lady Eilene Wylde. Though capable of proper courtly manners, she is prone to irreverence, and has a soft laugh like the babbling of a brook.
