Gabriel Mallinson looks every inch a brute, and an unpleasant one at that. Of medium height but substantial build, he combines dark hair with intense, staring eyes which suggest a deeper malevolence. His build suggests fat, but there's a certain vitality and bulk about him which suggests that below the outer layers of flab, there remains considerable strength below.

Usually in some variety of uniform adorned with various bits of ribbon to denote rank and service, the effect is somewhat lost by the flecks of dirt around his boots and trouers, and the fact that his tailor seems to be fighting a losing battle against the bulk of the man, who almost seems to be exploding out of his clothes.
