Miss Nishimura is something of the archaeological equivalent of a soldier of fortune: whilst she is extremely interested in the ancient history of the Middle East, her piloting skills have been used more often to extract people on less scientific topographical-historical surveys than for reaching out-of-the-way ruins.

A typically small, dark-haired and dark-eyed woman of Japanese descent, what Ryoko lacks in strength she makes up for in possessing the reflexes of a mountain cat. Had she ever been sent to the War, she would undoubtedly have come away highly decorated. Despite being born in Japan her English is flawless, some trace of a Californian accent suggesting where the majority of her childhood was spent.
