Ram grew up an orphan on the streets of Khedris, picking up languages from merchants and travelers passing through.  His confidence and cheerful persistence earned him a reputation of someone who could get things done, and secured him odd jobs with local vendors and tradesmen.

He always helps out anyone else down on their luck, giving money to beggars or orphans, so he tends to be richer in social capital than in actual coin.
