Eslador, Home of The City of Bridges

Game Information for the Unenlightened!

This is an ADULT game which will contain such material in quantity, the threads you can see are fine to read, but if you are not an adult, please move along.

It can be quite difficult to write these with sufficent information to allow players to make an informed choice. A short version would be to say that this is an ADULT (18+, restricted material and sexual content), City Game - a game which takes place in the enclosed environment of some kind, and people wander around meeting each other and seeing what relationships develops - FRIENDS, without the flat. It is a high fantasy game allowing characters from any universe, operating within a limited system freeform rules set - essentially, a very quick way to tell who should and shouldn't be taking hits. It's as much about adventure, politics and intrigue as it is the traditional subjects.

We have a heavy community focus, with active rewards for participation (don't worry if you can't, you won't loose out - and we keep track of participation and hunt you down... then ask you nicely what you'd like) and also benefits for collaberation - yes, the game is set to solo owner (this is a topic of some debate) but we have a clause in our rules allowing people to take over if I get eaten by a duck - and either way, we've painted a world with all the finesse of painting some house walls. Now it's up to everyone to make them come alive.

We're ethically minded, understanding that this is a personal and sensitive topic and we'd really rather people did't mess about - if you do, trouble will follow.

I'm going to leave you with the games IC/OC description, which hopefully should let you know if you're interested.

If you are interested please contact a member of staff and ask to me made a Lurker - this will allow you to validate your age, and thus see a lot more detail.

The City of Bridges and Chains

Eslador is a land... like many others, but one in which perhaps the approach to human sexuality is more liberal than others. A fantasy realm of Dungeons and, dare we say it, Dragons. A large portion of the world is covered by water, because as ever people can't be trusted by string, let alone Godpower.

The game takes place in the classic 'City' environment, here it takes place in the City of Bridges, a glorious patch of marshland in a lagoon only a few miles aross which was a work of art before the sky islands were brought in to hold it up and provide aeriel routes for airskiffs and punts.

Not to be out done, the Merfolk and the Tritons built a vast District below the lagoon - and soon the era of the many Districts came, until no matter where you came from - even from the cold void of space, voidjamming docks existed to welcome you.

By chance or bribery the City should long have been crushed by its neighbour - a theocracy in a world with no gods and few sorcerors of power... but the Lady of Bridges made such a thing so when she gave her life as victim and liberator to become the Goddess of that which reaches from one to another.

So it is a lie to say there are no Godessess... others have yet to follow in her wake.

The Goddess may have built the city, but it's up to you to set things in motion. The Empire of the Axe and Spear has... unique notions of tactics, and your back would be to the wall if they moved. But every other Kingdom bar two are likely to back your indepdence? Several of them want slavery banned - at least one of the three forms. Choice should be in peoples hands, they say.

Choice belongs to the Lady and the Doge, so the Cityfolk say what will you do in this web of intrigue? Or perhaps you seek battle? Rare, in City games, but out lightweight system allows storytellers to present quick encounter overviews and people can fight meaningful content, although we follow common restrictions on death etc.

A game about intrigue, drama, opulance and the the ostentatous as as - honestly, the kinky. If that isn't your kink... uh... we've got word confusion, best move on.
